Assessments

Measuring your progress can seem impossible at times — how can you quantify small improvements in your climbing? Work with our trainers to establish a baseline before you begin your training plan, and then test yourself again 4 months later. We’ll help you identify areas where you’ve improved more than you realized, and also help illuminate areas that haven’t been seeing the expected results. Meet Our Trainers

 

Kevin

Hello, my name is Kevin and it’s nice to meet you! 

I am one of the owners of Toprock, and I teach adult climbing classes as well as set routes at the gym. I started climbing when I was 16 years old and have never looked back. I’ve been fortunate to climb outdoors all over North America as well as Europe, and I always find time to do a yearly trip to explore new spots.

I became fascinated with climbing training about 10 years ago, and I love helping people grow develop their technique as well as strength. We are all here to climb and have fun, which is why I believe that the best way to get stronger is by staying healthy and avoiding injury. This means listening to your body, and improving technique to reduce stress on your body as you climb.

If you are ever at the gym, come over and say hi 👋, I am always available to chat and give beta as needed!

My name is Will, although if you’ve been to the gym I am sure we’ve met already!

I have been climbing for about 8 years and coaching for 3. I am one of the route setters at the gym, and I also coach our competitive youth team (ages 6-18!).

My passion for climbing has transferred into my schooling. I hold a degree in Fitness and Health Promotion from Humber. My belief is that anyone of any age and size can get into climbing, and I would love to help everyone learn about this fantastic sport.
