We are super excited to be back climbing, and what better way to celebrate than hosting a competition!
We’ll be hosting a University Bouldering Series (UBS) Competition on November 20th, 2021. This event will bring student climbers (and alumni!) together for a fun day of climbing, with a little added competitive flare. Don’t miss out on the chance to compete with other College and University athletes from across Ontario!
Come represent your school in a fight against the others to determine the UBS Champions!
DETAILS
This competition is run in scramble format: each entrant is given a score card, and has 2 hours to complete as many hard climbs as possible. At the end of the day, the scores for the top 3 male and female climbers from each school will be combined to determine a school's scoring.
We will release the total scores of all the schools afterwards, as well as individual scores to see where you ranked amongst the other students. The top ranking individual male and female competitors will also receive a prize.
In order to spread out participation numbers and reduce crowding, registrants can choose one of three time slots. Each time slot is equivalent, there are no differences in difficulty or rules for different slots. Scoring will be determined at the end of the day after all time slots have finished. Additional draw prizes will be given out during each time slot, so everyone has the chance to take something home!
Cost: $47 plus HST, Includes a free UBS t-shirt if you sign up BEFORE NOV 1ST!

Duration: 2 Hours
Scoring: Your score is determined by your top 5 hardest climbs sent. More points are awarded if you complete the climb in fewer attempts. All scores will be posted after the competition on our website.
Categories: There are no beginner or open categories, everyone climbs together! And yes, alumni are welcome to compete!
Prizes:
School Prizes - The top school will receive a Volume Prize from Hold Emporium — a great addition to your school’s climbing wall!
Top Competitors - The top male and female climber at the end of the day will receive a prize.
Draw Prizes - Each time slot we will be giving away draw prizes so everyone will have a chance to win something!
